Wind Architects work across a range of project types and scales with a focus on delivering unique, site specific design outcomes. The studio is based in Sydney, NSW, and led by founder Pouwel Wind.

Take a tour through one of their most recent projects; a renovated inter-war apartment located on Cammeraygal land - Balmoral, Sydney. The home has been artfully open up to flood once dark pockets with light and seamlessly blend together heritage details with modern design elements and Koskela furnishings.

The remarkable transformation was made by being creative within the confines of the space, and altering the floor plan to create a wide opening through the length of the apartment, which opened up previously closed rooms. As a result, the apartment feels much more spacious than its footprint, with individual spaces blending together to share light, views, and ventilation.

Dotted throughout you will find a range of Koskela furniture, textiles and homewares which complements the clean lines of the project whilst creating a homely feel.

Our Jim outdoor steel table was placed in the dining area and perfectly suited the indoor space, proving its versatility. It's lightweight structure and soft grey powder coat colour beautifully complemented the Jake dining chairs, built in cabinetry and the minimalist aesthetic of the apartment.

Our favourite design feature is the little nook in the living room by the window, where you can retreat and snuggle up on our cosy Quadrant Soft sofa while basking in the warmth of the sun.

When it comes to designing a cozy and functional living space, flexibility is key. Our Quadrant Soft Modular Sofa, in the double and corner modules here, are a stylish and versatile solution, fitting snug between the two walls.

Our lightweight quadrant sofa is flexible and adaptable, with modular pieces that can be configured to suit any room layout. Paired here with our Helmi - which is all about angles and corners and can be used as a side table or stool.
