The Joey Toolbox is a smart, minimalist solution for storing and carrying personal items in modern, flexible work environments. Part of Koskela’s WorkHub™ collection, Joey was developed to support the transition to agile and hybrid office models, enabling employees to easily move between desks, rooms, or work zones.
Originally created during Koskela’s response to the return-to-work brief post-COVID, the Joey began as a caddy for cleaning products. It has since evolved into a stylish, multi-functional carry-on that suits the needs of today’s mobile workforce. The name ‘Joey’ was inspired by the baby kangaroo — a nod to something small, portable, and practical you take with you.
Constructed from folded powder-coated aluminium, Joey is lightweight yet strong. It features a natural timber dowel handle (whitewashed pine), which sits neatly in place without fixings and offers a warm, tactile grip. The metal divider inside helps organise contents and can also function as a laptop stand (suitable for laptops up to 17”).
Joey fits neatly within locker storage, and is especially useful in hot-desking environments, where users carry their belongings from locker to desk. It also pairs seamlessly with Koskela’s Boobook screening system, offering a cohesive and practical solution for collaborative office setups.
