The Jake Chair is a modern interpretation of the classic school chair, redesigned for everyday living. Clean-lined, lightweight and robust, it works beautifully as a dining chair, home office chair or occasional seat in living spaces.
Originally released in 2013 and designed and manufactured in Australia, Jake pairs a strong tubular steel frame with simple, functional detailing that suits both modern and relaxed interiors.
The frame is available in a curated range of Koskela powder coat colours, allowing you to coordinate with your dining table, desk or interior palette. The standard seat and backrest are made from whitewashed plywood for a natural, understated look, with the option to add an upholstered seat for extra comfort during longer meals or work sessions.
Easy to move yet stable in everyday use, the Jake Chair is well suited to kitchen tables, dining rooms, home offices and multipurpose family spaces.
Designed with long-term use in mind, the steel frame can be re-powder-coated if required, and the plywood or upholstered components can be replaced over time. This supports repair and refurbishment rather than full replacement, helping extend the chair’s useful life in the home.

Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee this lead-time for customers living in non-metro areas and Tasmania, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Before purchasing a furniture product please make sure we can get it into your home! We provide the dimensions for all furniture products. Check these against the measurements for your doorways, stairway and/or elevator. We can only deliver above the ground floor if there is access to a lift, enough safe space access, or if the item weighs less than 75kg. Koskela can’t be held liable if your product can’t be delivered into your home.
