Leather Sled Base Bar Stool

Inspired by the streamlined form of traditional dog sleds from Lapland, the Sled Base Bar Stool combines strength, simplicity and refined detailing in a compact silhouette. Designed for modern homes, it’s an ideal choice for kitchen islands, breakfast bars and home entertaining spaces where comfort and durability matter.

The frame is formed from bent solid steel rod, creating a sturdy base with a light, architectural profile. A padded seat provides everyday comfort and can be upholstered in your choice of fabric or leather, with the option to include a supportive backrest for longer sitting.

To suit a wide range of interiors, the base is available in either a brushed stainless steel finish or powder-coated in Koskela’s standard colour range, allowing you to coordinate with cabinetry, appliances or other furniture.

The Sled Base Bar Stool is available in three seat heights and can be specified with or without a backrest, making it easy to match standard kitchen benches, bar-height counters or custom joinery.

With its small footprint and durable construction, it’s well suited to “touch-down” spaces — informal spots for morning coffee, quick meals or casual conversations — without overwhelming the room.

Built using long-lasting materials and straightforward construction, the Sled Base Bar Stool is designed to support ongoing reupholstery and finish refinishing if required, helping extend its useful life in the home.
