The String Table is inspired by a visit to Elcho Island by designers Russell Koskela and Sasha Titchkosky, where they observed local women playing traditional cat’s cradle string games — creating intricate shapes through remarkable hand skill and technique.
These geometric forms, combined with childhood memories of the same game, informed the design of the table’s distinctive bent steel base. The result is a sculptural yet functional dining table that brings character, craftsmanship and thoughtful design into everyday living spaces.
Designed and manufactured in Australia, the String Table is suited to modern homes looking for a statement dining table that balances visual impact with practical durability.

The specified lead time applies to metro locations throughout Australia. Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee this lead-time for customers living in non-metro areas and Tasmania, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Before purchasing a furniture product please make sure we can get it into your home! We provide the dimensions for all furniture products. Check these against the measurements for your doorways, stairway and/or elevator. We can only deliver above the ground floor if there is access to a lift, enough safe space access, or if the item weighs less than 75kg. Koskela can’t be held liable if your product can’t be delivered into your home.
