RMIT approached Koskela to specify and fit-out a study space for E/MBA students. The elongated room with soaring ceilings is on the ground floor of a heritage-listed Neoclassical building on the Melbourne city campus.
The study space required areas to for students to collaborate and present. Either end was glassed off, creating areas for group work with flexible furniture that can easily be reconfigured.
In the centre of the room are three custom Stirrup Tables separated by mobile privacy screens, plus a bank of bench seating. Students can either lounge here or practice presenting in a boardroom setting.
With direct access to the university grounds, Koskela also supplied outdoor tables and chairs for hardworking students to get some much needed vitamin D.
