Koskela had the opportunity to contribute a range of furniture to a prestigious Australian investment management company. With sweeping harbour views and an open plan workspace, Koskela’s premium furniture was a good fit for the project.
Our brolga armchairs are elegant in form but durable in nature making them perfect for the workplace. Inspired by the native bird the Australian Crane, the long strong limbs of the chair mimic that of the bird. Solid Euro beech forms the slender frame that deftly supports the upholstered seat and back with no visible fastening. The padded cushions have rounded corners to mirror the cylindrical dowel which looks striking against the soft curves of the Harbour Bridge in the background.
In addition to the Brolga armchairs, Koskela contributed several Relm furniture crop stools in a mix of high and low heights. With flexible working in mind, these stools ease the transition from individual to collaborative working. The white crop stool features detailed timber joinery including pinned bridle joints to secure the legs to the rails. This creates a clean and sophisticated finish which partners beautifully with the timber detailing in the space.
Koskela was proud to also contribute a custom Boab table to this project. With practicality and user experience in mind, this table was designed with a living centre piece of lush plants. Not only is this aesthetically pleasing, but plants have been proven to improve air quality and reduce stress in the work environment. The circular tabletop creates an inclusive and inviting atmosphere for the user. This was an important consideration for the workspace to establish a sense of openness.
In conclusion, Koskela was proud to have been selected to contribute a range of our signature and bespoke pieces to this project.
