About this product
Gungun Mobile Teacher Unit — A Dynamic Hub for Agile Teaching
The Gungun Mobile Teacher Unit is designed to support modern, mobile teaching by getting educators out from behind traditional desks and into the heart of the classroom. More than a piece of furniture, Gungun acts as a portable command centre, offering a compact yet fully functional station for teachers to engage, move, and lead learning with flexibility and ease.
Taking its name from the Dharug Aboriginal language of Sydney, Gungun means “basket” — a fitting metaphor for a unit that carries all the essentials an educator needs, ready to roll wherever the lesson leads.
Gungun features a lockable cabinet with three generous drawers, mounted on lockable castors for easy manoeuvrability and classroom stability. A removable toolbox and magazine file slot neatly on top for daily essentials, while a slide-out laptop table offers a secure surface for digital tools or note-taking on the go.
Crafted from durable Australian steel and powder-coated in Koskela’s Junior Learn colour range, inspired by the Australian landscape, Gungun brings energy and warmth to any learning space. The tabletop surface is finished in birch-look laminate with an exposed ply edge, chosen for its tactile appeal and classroom resilience.

Why choose me
Made in Australia
All Koskela products are proudly made in Australia. By supporting us you also support our manufacturing partners who employ skilled workers that produce high quality products backed by a 7-year warranty.
Social Impact
A portion of proceeds from the sale of this product go towards the Ginda Barri program at the Macleay Valley Workplace Learning Centre (MVWLC) in Kempsey. This program offers support for student mums, a high proportion who identify as First Nations, to continue their high school education.
AfterCare™
Koskela products can be serviced to keep them looking like new and extend their life. Components are repairable or replaceable, so you can swap out a part rather than having to repurchase the whole. In most cases, this maintenance can happen onsite, reducing disruption and delays.
Continuously improving
Koskela has ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Assurance and ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management certification. This certification provides independent verification to our stakeholders and customers that Koskela is committed to quality and improving environmental performance.
GECA Certification
GECA is an Australian-based certification scheme, which ensures that products and services have a reduced environmental impact throughout their lifecycle. Qualifying Koskela products contribute towards environmental project schemes such as Green Star, LEED and WELL.
Carbon Reduction
Koskela invests in the latest technology and innovative practices to reduce this product’s carbon footprint. Our organisation is committed to absolute zero, with no carbon offsets, by 2030. To keep us accountable we annually measure our carbon emissions and set goals for reduction.
Biophilic design
This product embodies biophilic design principles: using natural finishes or finishes that mimic natural products, no straight lines or right angles, non-toxic materials and colours that reflect nature. Studies have shown that the adoption of these design principles has a positive impact in learning environments.
