Kink Vinegar Bottle made from glass with a rubber stopper and metal pourer.
The Kink vinegar bottle is made using traditional glass blowing techniques. The design and production process ensures that each piece is unique. The simple kink in the neck emphasises the function of the bottle as well as the material qualities of hand-blown glass – it also adds a sense of delight to the ergonomics of pouring. Kink is a useful object with a bold sculptural presence.
A significant glass artist, Deb Jones has completed many public and private commissions and her works are held in public collections including Art Bank, The National Gallery of Victoria, The Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery and the Australian National Parliamentary Library in Canberra.
Jones’ work as an artist and designer responds to the beauty of the glass she uses, employing a minimalist sensibility and strong belief in the mentality of ‘less is more’.
jam collaborates with a diverse array of local designers, makers and fabricators, combining traditional skills with modern manufacturing. This mix of individual creativity and skill combined with an emphasis on materials and processes shapes a distinctive voice in Australian design.
