Conrad explores his medium with great intensity, enjoying different mark making technique, be it with paint and brushes or inks and printmaking materials.
In this work Conrad is depicting Pakitiringa (rain) and Japarra (the moon).
This is a multi-plate etching with screenprint, made by the artist in collaboration with Masterprinter Basil hall at Jilamara in April 2017.
Jilamara Arts & Crafts Association is an indigenous owned art centre located in Milikapiti on Melville Island, which is one of the Tiwi Islands, 80 km to the north of Darwin. Artists at the centre have made a significant contribution to contemporary indigenous art in Australia since the association was established in 1989.
