We’re obsessed with this robe—it’s a feat of hand block printing and a genuine work of art. Using a super luxe 100% Belgian linen in deep eggplant, complemented by ochre half moons and *the* chicest green piping. 

To make this block printed fabric, each design is traced onto a wooden slab, which then is carved by hammer and chisel into a printing block. The block is then printed meticulously by hand using soft, AZO-free, non toxic pigment. Variation in printing & colour are hallmarks of hand block printing and dyeing in small batches.

Block Shop is a textile, art, and design studio founded by sisters Hopie and Lily Stockman based in Los Angeles. They are a multi-generational team of artists and craftspeople devoted to celebrating the rich history, process, and materials of handmade textile production. Block Shop invests 5% of their profits in their biannual Community Health Camps in Jaipur, where we started our company in 2013.
