About this product
Ikebana Bowl in Shino Glaze. A flat rimmed vase with wide edges. Its indented middle a reservoir for thirsty flowers. With Ikebana bulb perched in the centre stems can secure themselves into natural formations. An accented piece, begging to host to your garden clippings.
Hand crafted by Kate Brouwer in her Northcote studio. Each piece is made with care, time and thought. An ever growing collection of playful vessels, tableware and sculptural ceramics, with functionality at the forefront. Drawing inspiration from Asobimasu, a Japanese word meaning to play, “to create without boundaries”, Kate enjoys creating pieces that bend the boundaries of traditional forms and explore their relationship to the world around us.
Inspired by native bushland and landscapes, Kate seeks to find harmony between nature and form. Creating simple yet bold vessels that provide structure for nature to become the living artwork within its walls.
