About this product

A unique and versatile piece, this large serving bowl has been thrown using 3.5 kg of clay and finish firing at 33.5cm in width. These beautiful big bowls will never overflow, with plenty of room for pasta, tossing your salads and storing an array of fruits. These beautiful bowls are the pride and centrepiece of many family dinners.

Hand crafted by Kate Brouwer in her Northcote studio. Each piece is made with care, time and thought. An ever growing collection of playful vessels, tableware and sculptural ceramics, with functionality at the forefront. Drawing inspiration from Asobimasu, a Japanese word meaning to play, “to create without boundaries”, Kate enjoys creating pieces that bend the boundaries of traditional forms and explore their relationship to the world around us.

Inspired by native bushland and landscapes, Kate seeks to find harmony between nature and form. Creating simple yet bold vessels that provide structure for nature to become the living artwork within its walls.

Dimensions: Measures approx. 33.5cm across x 12.5cm high*
