The Kaiketsu Planter. Industrial walls paired with soft textural surface, its playful form inviting winding plants and dripping leaves. This planter plays with the boundaries of traditional vessels inviting plants to grow amongst its walls and sit amidst its curves. A unique object for any contemporary home.
Kate Brouwer is the hands and heart behind Asobimasu Clay. An ever growing collection of playful vessels, tableware and sculptural ceramics, with functionality at the forefront. Drawing inspiration from Asobimasu, a Japanese word meaning to play, “to create without boundaries”, Kate enjoys creating pieces that bend the boundaries of traditional forms and explore their relationship to the world around us.
Inspired by native bushland and landscapes, Kate seeks to find harmony between nature and form. Creating simple yet bold vessels that provide structure for nature to become the living artwork within its walls.

Please note as each Asobimasu vessel is made by hand, please allow for a small variance in size, approx +/- 1cm from the listed dimensions. The beauty of the firing and glazing process means each piece will have a unique surface finish and colour.

All online items are available for free ‘Click & Collect’ from our Roseberry showroom. This service is available daily from 10am-4pm (excluding Sundays). All orders must be collected from the side entrance on Dunning Ave. Same day Click & Collect is available if you order before 1pm. Please allow a three-hour window from when you place your order to when you arrive to collect.
